Rio de Janeiro, also simply know as, Rio, is arguably the most attractive and beautiful tourist city in South America, if not the world, a place that is a symbol of fun, sports, great atmosphere, amazing people.

The former capital of Brazil and the Portuguese Empire is the center of the most famous carnival in the world.

This destination guards the most giant statue of Christ and boasts one of the most famous beaches in the world: Copacabana.

The city of Rio is also known for some of the most famous songs and song writers in the world, such as Tom Jobim and the song, “The Girl From Ipanema” (here with Jobim and Frank Sinatra)

Visiting Rio is an experience of a lifetime you just can’t miss.

This year’s race takes place in the sate of Rio, but about 110 km from the city of Rio (and 380 from S.Paulo), in Mangaratiba, at the magnificent Portobello resort.

The closest international Airport is Galeão – GIG in the city of Rio de Janeiro.
